OUR STORY

My passion for clothes and fashion goes back over 15 years.

It all started with me designing my own embroidered salwar suits with some low-cost suit fabrics from Lajpat Nagar. This prompted a positive response from people around me. I received a lot of compliments and questions about my outfits.

I also designed some suits for my sister, who had just moved to the United States. A lot of her friends really liked the designs and asked her where they could get similar clothing. It was then that I recognized that I had an eye for fashion design.

My sister-in-law, who has been in Dubai for over 15 years, saw a gap in the market for Indian clothes. With this insight, we decided to collaborate and I had my first exhibition in Dubai in 2003, after which there were several more.

Following a rising interest in my clothes in the USA, I had my first exhibition in the San Francisco Bay area in 2006, which further lead to us having 3 - 4 exhibitions per year.

Roohi: Roohi comes from a similar background, with no formal training in fashion designing. But has a keen interest in clothes and a passion for different kinds of embroideries.

We joined hands about 3 years ago.
